Water


Water

 

-nearly 70% of Haitians lack direct access to potable water, and only 55% have access to an improved water source.

-Adults and children are dying everyday from diseases like cholera and diarrhea because of a lack of access to clean water.

-

We provide wells and water filters to communities in need.

-2 out of 3 Hatians live on less than two dollars a day.

-100,000 children under five years of age suffer from acute malnutrition, while 1 in 3 children is stunted, or irreversibly short for their age.

-1/3 of Haitian women and children are anemic.

-90% of farmers depend on rain for their harvest as only 10% of the crops are irrigated.

-

We provide food for children through the schools in the community and aim to help farmers irrigate their crops, so they can help provide food for their communities.
